Stellar Revival : Black Sheep, Dirty Freak, Red-Headed Step Child

Stellar Revival

New kids on the block! Stellar Revival are coming out screaming they are the "Crazy Ones". And rightfully so! Their singer made the stage his own and set the crowd up to be knocked down by Pop Evil & Theory of a Deadman. Not alot is know about these Floridian natives but one thing is for sure! We will be seeing a lot more of them!

CHECK OUT THE VIDEO HERE!

Love the lyrics to the single!

We are the black sheep, dirty freak, red-headed step child

We are the born bad, turn it up and get wild, We are the stones that keep rolling We are the sweetest sin you welcome in, then leave before the morning

Cause we are the crazy ones the mavericks, the dreamers the forgotten sons we color outside the lines for fun We are the crazy ones cause we are crazy ones the badass, outcast son of a guns we march to the beat of a different drum We are the crazy ones we are the crazy ones

we are the new school, no rules, needle in the haystack We are the outsiders, all nighters scream if you’re a badass We are the wheels that keep turning

we are the heartbreakers, risk takers anything but boring cause we are the crazy ones the mavericks, the dreamers the forgotten sons we color outside the lines for fun we are the crazy ones the badass, outcast son of a guns we march to the beat of a different drum we are the crazy ones we are the crazy ones

We’re one-of-a-kind believe it, so stand up and make’em see it

we are the heartbreakers, risk takers anything but boring cause we are the crazy ones the mavericks, the dreamers the forgotten sons we color outside the lines for fun we are the crazy ones the badass, outcast son of a guns we march to the beat of a different drum we are the crazy ones we are the crazy ones

Vans Warped Tour : 1300 Pictures : 1 Day

The Vans Warped Tour has been around for more than a decade. They've had some of the most amazing acts on their bill over the years. This thing is just a massive and extensive experience for anybody! I highly recommend it for anyone that likes discovering new music or just like's all music. Of course every year people from publications come to photograph and interview artist, the shows, the environment in general. I wanted to do something a little different this time around so taking inspiration from a fell photographer, Petra Cross, I did a stop motion! Check it out!

Chevelle : Ford Park : Beaumont, TX

It was an amazing drive out from Houston to Beaumont on April 17, 2012. A little long but well worth it knowing the band that I was going to shoot was Chevelle! Chevelle is a 3 piece band that from thier early formation in late 1999 have hit the road running creating some of the more memorable moments in the modern rock movement in the first decade of the 21st century with songs ranging from “The Red”, “Vitamin R(Leading Us Along)”, “I Get It”, and the more recently “Face to the Floor”. Chevelle was out supporting their 6th and most current album "Hats Off To the Bull". The album came out in late 2011 and from that second on they hit the road hard! The band is known for being a strong 3 piece and this night was no different. This was the second leg of their touring schedule so they varied the songs a little bit more. It was amazing to see them do everything from their new single “Same Ole’ Trip” to the very old school “Point #1”! The only thing that really was different from all the other awesome times that I’ve seen them is the way the stage was set up and that’s obviously no big deal to the way they sound. The rhythm section created by Dean(bass) and Sam(drums) and Pete’s vocals, as always, sounded great clean and when he throws the grit into them. If you are into the modern commercial rock scene and have never seen Chevelle then you definitely need to get out from under the rocks and check them out!

Sabrina Sin Model Shoot

A girl with some serious beauty! I know for a fact I will be working with her again. I split this up into 2 post because half of it was more of a "model/fashion(y)" shoot and the other half was a beauty shoot. Lets start with the model side. :)

Free Press Music Fest : Tinsley Park : Houston, TX

Free Press Music Fest is always an amazing gathering!

For the last four years Houston has throw Free Press Summer Fest. In it’s infancy it was 30,000 people strong and was the perfect place to be for the indie rock hipsters. Since then it has grown into a monster! Now the festival is over 60,000 people strong over the course of 2 days in the lovely Eleanor Tinsley Park overlooking the city.

This year there were over 160 acts spread across 8 stages and the music went from folk, indie, hip-hop, metal, electronic, to country. The heat was hot, the skies were blue, and the crowd made it all worth the effort for the musicians!

Among the acts that were there was Willie Nelson bringing his past 40+ years of music. While the crowd wasn’t going as crazy over this act they were all inhaling the smoke and singing along with all their heart as he made his way through some of his most known songs(Whiskey River, Still is Still Moving to Me) to even pulling off some Kris Kristofferson covers(Me and Bobbi McGee).

Cult favorites Morris Day and The Time also showed up. While it was a great show to witness it was a heavy let down because in the end, if you’re seeing Morris Day you have to see some Jungle Love. It seems that over the years his voice has grown deeper and it might be that some of his younger songs might now work like you would hope.

Snoop Dogg was also there and there was plenty for him to talk about. He managed to get busted for possession while in Houston and it gave him a fire during the performance. Old to new all the songs he pulled out were definitely worth all the fans he had in the dogg pound(fans).

The electronic acts Major Lazer, Afrojack, and Pretty Lights(just to name a few) set the Eleanor Tinsley Park on fire. It never mattered if it was day time or the closing act. Everytime that there was a beat to jump or fist pump too it seemed that the whole crowd was there to do it!

Each year Free Press Summer Fest gets put on and each year this show gets bigger and bigger. People from all around the country come to celebrate some many different genre’s of music! It’s truly something amazing to see!

DAY 1

DAY 2

A shoot with Pandy!

Home chick rocked it! I'm out on a mission to find my place with photography. I wanna know what I'm all about. My style if you will. She is kind of the start of this journey. I know what my concert photography is. People can spot that a mile away. But how do I make myself stand out with models. Am I going to take a solid beauty route? Do I need to brush up on fashion and dive head deep because it is something that does inspire me...These are all questions that I feel I need to work on to grow and not just stay a concert photographer with band shoots here and there..... So here she is: PANDY!
